Duffy Teases 2020 Comeback - CelebMix

May 2024 · 2 minute read

Duffy’s last album ‘Endlessly’ was released in 2010, but the queen of soul is set to return.

Aimee Duffy (known as Duffy) first shot to fame in 2008 with her single ‘Mercy’, which became an international hit, noted as the third-best-selling single in the UK of 2008. ‘Warwick Avenue’ also did well, peaking at number 3 in the UK Single Charts. Even though some of Duffy’s tracks did not chart as well as others, they have never been forgotten and are often referred and spoken about on social media sites to this day.

Her first album Rockferry went to number one in over 6 countries and has sold over over ten million copies worldwide. In 2010, her second album Endlessly was released and in 2013 (Duffy’s last performance) she performed in Paris, paying tribute to Eidth Piaf.

More recently, the Welsh songstress starred in the 2015 Legend film, playing the role of Timi Yuro. A couple of tracks were released for the film, including Whole Lot Of Love and Dear Heart.

In December 2019, Duffy teased her fans through her Instagram, with the caption ‘#2020’ and what looks like a new photo from a possible photo shoot or music video.

This is the first time Duffy has posted on her social media since 2017, when the star announced that she would be back with something new…soon.

‘I won’t be online now until the other side of the year. Other news is – I will see you with something new at some point soon. Love Duffy’ @duffy, Instagram.

Fast forward another year and it looks like fans will not have to wait too much longer for the singer to be back, hopefully with a new album and perhaps a tour?

We will wait and see!
